Conference brings the write stuff to Pacific

Join authors, publishers and agents for a series of workshops and presentations on everything from plots to publishing at the Second Annual Conference on Creative Writing. The three-day conference will feature authors, publishers, and agents from across the United States, including keynote speaker James Rollins, the New York Times bestselling author of “The Eye of God” and other international thrillers. Presenters will include Pacific professors Patti McCarthy (Film Studies) and Scott Evans (School of Education), as well as authors John Lescroart, Robin Burcell, Indigo Moor and many more.

Interactive workshops and presentations will cover all aspects and genres of creative writing, from brainstorming techniques to submitting work for publication, writing creative nonfiction articles for publication to writing children’s books, murder mysteries, science fiction, and westerns.

This conference is a collaboration of the Benerd School of Education, the Center for Professional & Continuing Education and the College of the Pacific’s Department of English. For more information and conference registration, please visit the conference website.
